Poland Pilgrimage #1
It is so incredible to be here in Krakow, Poland getting ready to co-facilitate an Ashkenazi ancestral pilgrimage with my friend and sister-in-spirit, Julie Wolk.
The container we have prepared for the past 7 months is now becoming real as the soles/souls of our feet meet the land of Polin.
So much beauty here, and so much grief.
We are here to meet it with 15 other brave alchemists on a journey that will wind from Krakow to Warsaw over the next two weeks.
If you’re curious to read more about the journey read here.

Today Julie and I went to Wolski, a forest park outside of Krakow, to scout the right place for our opening ceremony. We blessed each other up, thanked the ancestors and the spirits of the place, and talked through the flow of the next day’s opening ritual.
The sun was shining through the hickory and linden leaves and illuminating the carnelian stones on the altar we set.
I am amazed that I am here. I am buckling my spiritual seatbelt for the experience and so honored to be a part. My prayer is that our journey here is a fractal of great peace and resonant justice that spreads throughout the collective psyche of the Jewish people and all peoples. May we hold this experience in a way that no longer weaponizes trauma but instead turns wounds into wisdom so that our descendants will truly study war no more.
